What People Are Saying
I've lived at the Adelphia for six years. It is a great central location, close to the Reading Terminal Market, theaters, pubs, cafes, museums, Fairmount Park, Boat House Row, trains, buses, rental car agencies, restaurants, and more. My apartment is very nice. Lots of natural sunlight. Very nice neighbors. Although you can occasionally hear noise from different units as you walk down the corridor you cannot hear your neighbors once you are in your apartment. There is a laundry room on every floor with new washers and dryers, trash room on each floor, and a gym in the building. Management is attentive to the needs of the tenants. I recently had a problem with my radiator. The plumber did a wonderful job of correcting the trouble, protected the area before he started working, and cleaned up when he finished. Housekeeping/environmental services do a very good job of keeping up with the common areas. If ever something extra needs attention one need only mention it to management and someone will take care of it. Kathy and Patti who work in management are especially friendly, kind, caring, and attentive to the needs of the tenants. Again, I'm truly happy living at the Adelphia as is obvious with how long I've been living here and I have no plans on moving.
Location, location, location! I've lived at the Adelphia House for 11 years. I love my apartment. I have great views and a bright and cheerful living space, heat and hot water included. I rarely have issues. When I do, the staff is great. Many improvements have been made since I first moved here. Also, I have great neighbors and have made a few good friendships here. Just a few blocks from Reading Terminal Market, a full spectrum of bars, restaurants, cafes and Theatres. The apartment a great bargain for the Midtown Village section of Center City. There's no better deal in this part of town.
I have lived at the Adelphia House - A Philadelphia Management Company for a number of years now and it's been a pleasant experience. I recently moved from one apartment to a higher floor in the building. As everyone knows moving can be a big hassle, but It was actual a rather pleasant experience. With the excellent help from the Adelphia staff, leasing consultant (Patti) showing me all the available apartments in my price range at times that were accommodating to my work schedule. Patti also explained the new lease and end of lease process in great detail. I also received great service from the property manager (Kathy) on the day of the lease signing she was very helpful explaining the T and C's of the contract, also arranging the repair man and freight elevator access. The Adelphia house has been a great place to live and I look forward to continue my residence. If you enjoy the center city nightlife along with easy access to shops, restaurants, bars and local businesses the Adelphia house has a prime location.
I have lived in Adelphia House for almost three years and it is the best decision I have ever made. My apartment is quiet and I enjoy the convenience of living here. Since I moved in they have continued to make improvements. They have replaced the hallway carpets on my floor and installed new laundry equipment. Any time I have needed a repair, they handled it courteously and promptly. The staff has been friendly and helpful. I also have never had any issues with my fellow tenants. They mostly seem to be students but I do see some older people in the building. I have never hesitated in recommending the building to my friends. I also plan to stay here for the long haul since this part of Center City is continuing to attract new development to make it an even better place to live.
