Pittsburgh, PA — During the past several months, PMC Property Group has expanded its Pittsburgh holdings with three new buildings, making it one of the largest property owners in the city's Golden Triangle. The new acquisitions include:
908 Penn Avenue
Built in 1896, this 30,000 square foot, five-story building will be converted to 25 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with some complementary street-level retail space. The building, which will also get some much needed facade restoration before it is ready for occupancy in late 2013, is located in close proximity to PMC's Penn Garrison Lofts, which recently underwent a 33-unit expansion.
526 Penn Avenue
This 75,000 square foot, 10-story property, formerly called the Jackman Building, will be converted to 75 one- and two-bedroom apartment units. The property has two existing street-front retail tenants who will remain in place, including a Subway restaurant and a Quest Diagnostics office.

This nine-story Beaux-Arts style structure, formerly called the James Reed Building, served for many years as the Pittsburgh office of international law firm Reed Smith. PMC is currently exploring options for the future use of this space, which is located across the street from the company's Regional Enterprise Tower, the former headquarters of ALCOA Aluminum.
