What People Are Saying
Great building overall
2100 Parkway is a gorgeous apartment building with a great location. It is the old 1930's Philadelphia School Administration Building located next door to the Franklin Institute. The building seems to attract good people and the people that work there are great including the door (wo)men, maintenance folks, and property manager. The best thing about this building: they allow pets and it seems like most tenants have dogs. The rent seems to be comparable for the value and location, if not a little less expensive. The units are recently renovated with new appliances and a washer/dryer in the unit. The perks include a gym in the basement and a bike storage room, although storage is otherwise very limited. One thing worth noting is the ceiling height. The units on the first two floors have loft celings, whereas the other floors all appear to have a significantly lower ceiling height, although I haven't seen the secretive 11th floor to which the elevators don't go. Another thing to note are the windows. All units have fabulous huge windows, but in some units they don't open and in some units the configuration doesn't allow the presence of a screen so opening your windows is opening your place to the elements. And its a little odd, but there are at least two businesses that also call 2100 Parkway home. There's an architecture firm in the west wing on the 2nd floor, and the other business is in the east wing of the first floor and has its own separate entrance. I had heard mixed reviews of the management, but we've only had positive experiences with them, including the property manager who has been very helpful and responsive. Its a great building overall.
